ابن‌سینا موضوع نفس و مباحث آن را سرلوحة پیگیری‌های فلسفی خود قرار داده تبیین‌های او در این به شیوه‌ای است که متفکران پس از نتوانند بدون توجه نظریات وی مسائل بررسی کنند. یکی موضوع‌های در این میدان تفصیل پرداخته قوای باطنی است. قوة واهمه پیشتازان طرح قوه میان قواست. درکتاب‌هایش مانند شفا اشارات کارکرد برای جایگاه آن مشخص کرده نگارنده مقاله جستاری وکارایی ویژگی‌های نتایجی دیدگاه احکام نازل رسیده احکام انسان حیوان مرز جدایی تمایز فراورده‌های آن‌را حیوانات تحلیل نموده داوری منطقی محصولات قوه، دروغ باطل بودن بسیاری مورد قرارداده ملاک داوری‌های مختلف سخنان آشکار
